iCAN 2023 contest

iCAN is a global competition for students interested in advanced engineering applications to improve our society (health and environmental monitoring, efficient energy recovery, autonomous systems, software control, etc.). Key disciplines involve microengineering, nanotechnology, robotics, biomedical engineering, etc.). Students design, assemble and demonstrate a functional system using commercial electronic, optical and mechatronic components provided by a university laboratory, often sponsored by companies.

Each year, the iCAN competition has 2 stages:

Step 1: A national competition. In Switzerland this part will take place in May 2023, the exact date will be communicated about 1 month before.

Step 2: The international competition. The winning team will earn the right to represent Switzerland at the international iCAN finals in Kyoto, Japan in June 2023.

The winning team of the Swiss qualifying competition will receive the right to represent Switzerland at the iCAN International Final – including travel and hotel expenses.
