The International Congress of Chronometry brings together specialists in the field, including historians, watchmakers and scientists, for two days each year.

For this year 2022, the theme will be “Between dreams, realities and necessities, how watchmaking adjusts its amplitude without losing its bearings?

In a world of perpetual change, the watchmaking industry has continued to develop and reinvent itself, independently and in spite of the economic turmoil. It has adapted and shown that it is possible to continue to create, produce and sell in a tense global context.

From this movement have emerged new issues around climate, ecology and sustainability.

What can the watch industry contribute to the current climate and societal challenges? Does it follow the movements and participate in the new waves (ecology, feminist movements, etc.) or is it above them, or even against them? These will be the topics discussed at the international congress in an attempt to adjust the amplitude of the watch industry’s beat as best as possible.
