High-flying presentations by top speakers, right in the heart of the majestic Swiss mountains, that’s the philosophy of the Micronarc Alpine Meeting. The 13th edition of this series of conferences has just taken place in Villars-sur-Ollon, a charming village in the Vaud pre-Alps. More than sixty participants from all over Europe met for two days to discuss microsystems and their applications.
About twenty speakers took turns during this conference-marathon, to develop topics such as micro manufacturing, particularly through practical examples in watchmaking or medtechs. Micro sensors and their various applications were also discussed. The future of micro manufacturing and new manufacturing technologies were also discussed. A room allowed about ten exhibitors to present their innovative technologies.
Micronarc Alpine Meeting offers not only conferences, but also and above all opportunities for exchange and networking between researchers, entrepreneurs and other professionals in microsystems. This is particularly the case during recreational moments. Thus, the participants went by cogwheel train to the Villars golf course to eat a typical Swiss raclette and prolong in a friendly atmosphere the conversations started during the day.
